"Sometimes I feel like I can't even sing...."
These are the very first lyrics in my very favorite REM song "You Are The Everything".  Michael Stipe of REM is the only person I have ever idolized... One day around Xmas-time when I was working as a salesmen at the now closed Moss store in SoHo in NYC I got to help Michael Stipe buy presents for his family and friends.  He was so sweet and nice. He came back a couple days later with his posse and he remembered my name and shopped some more. He told me he would be back in January to shop for things for himself and when he didn't come back in January  i looked up his address in our system at Moss and I sent him my then band's (Testosterone Kills) brand new record.   The following Xmas he came in the shoppe again and still remembered my name and had listened to our record saying it was "unusual" ... i was flattered and shocked that he remembered me and had listened to the record atall. A year or so later I moved to San Francisco and my friends Moira and Rob were out to eat one night and Michael Stipe sat next to them at dinner.  They somehow started talking about Moss and Michael Stipe asked about me.....

I hope someday to sing with him or beter yet collaborate on a song.
